Francis Mensah. I turn complex ideas into usable products.

My work is grounded in systems thinking, spanning product design, brand, and tools. Currently building ContentifyContentifyContentify.devFigma plugin that fills your designs with authentic Ghanaian and Nigerian content. No more Lorem Ipsum. — a Figma plugin that fills designs with authentic local content. Expanding to building other tools that help designers automate and speed up their workflow.

A selection of case studies showcasing product design and thinking.

My design process
Every project starts with listening. I ask questions most stakeholders haven't been asked before. About their users, the problems they're actually trying to solve, and what success really looks like. Getting aligned on goals, user needs, and constraints early means the work has a clear direction from day one.
I dig into user behaviour, competitive landscapes, and industry patterns. Desk research, stakeholder interviews, and heuristic reviews help me build a clear picture of what users actually need, where the current experience is breaking down, and where the real opportunity sits.
Before committing to a direction I explore widely. User flows, wireframes, and low-fidelity concepts that challenge assumptions and push the thinking. I now use AI to speed this up, generating and stress-testing ideas faster so I get to the right direction with more confidence and less wasted time.
This is where things come together. High-fidelity screens, interactive prototypes, and a consistent component structure. I work closely with engineers throughout the process, not just at handoff, so by the time development starts the team already understands the decisions, edge cases, and how things should behave.
I involve engineers early so handoff is never something new or strange to them. By the time files are delivered, the team already knows the thinking behind the design. I provide clear annotations, component notes, and full documentation. And I stay available throughout development to answer questions and make sure what ships is actually what was designed.
